Introducing: Manicure Monday

Mondays... not every ones favorite day of the week. But I'm so excited starting today every Monday I will be giving manicure ideas and tips that will give you more confidence throughout the week and will last through the weekend!

I recently have decided to not go to nail salons for many reasons. First and for most, it's cheaper, it's more sanitary, its less time consuming, and I actually like doing my own nails! Painting my nails is actually therapeutic for me and allows me to experiment with fun ideas.

Ever since Carrie Underwood released her own limited edition nail polish line in January, I was really interested in trying it. Not only because I'm a big fan of Carrie, but I love all of the colors she chose because there truly is a color for every season, occasion and that every age group can wear.

I did not purchase the entire collection. I purchased six out of the fourteen shades as you can see by the pictures. Unfortunately, I think this collection is selling out in stores at my near by locations, however,  you can find them available online.

This nail idea is sooo easy and fun. First, I used Nicole by OPI's polish in Southern Charm which is a beautiful warm nude shade that is office appropriate. This nude color is perfect for any season, occasion, or age group. The top coat I used is the gold sequin and glitter shade called Dripping Lips of Honey. I love this polish because the sequins and glitter is really buildable

How to:
1) Apply two coats of Southern Charm
2) Apply two coats of Dripping Lips of Honey
(optional) apply a base and top coat for more shine and prevent chipping
