Manicure Monday: The Neon Trend

Happy Manicure Monday everyone! Today, I wanted to talk about a huge nail trend for this summer, which is... NEONS! Not only are neons on trend, but they also give you an optical illusion of being more tan. I picked out some of the best neon polishes that are affordable from less expensive to more expensive:
Essie The Neons 2014 $8.50* each, $51* Collection
I'm in love with all these colors because they are bright but not too bright. All of these polishes are sold separately, or you can buy the entire collection. The collection includes too taboo (neon pink), chills & thrills (darker blue/purple), I'm addicted (turquoise), vices versa (lime green), serial shopper (tangerine shade), and sittin' pretty (pastel lavender). Essie is a great nail polish brand that's high quality because they have infinite shades to choose from and always up to date with the latest trends.
Where to buy: CVS, Walgreens, Ulta, Essie.com

Sephora Paint Rio in Neon Collection $11.00  (originally $20)
This nail polish set that is sold exclusively at Sephora, comes with 4 neon shades in Caipi Freeze (neon green), Brazilian Sun (neon yellow), Papaya Daiquiri (neon orange), and Pink Bikini (neon pink). This set does not only come with 4 polishes, but it also comes with nail art lessons inspired by Rio. For $2.75 a piece, you can't really go wrong.
Where to buy: Sephora
OPI Little Bit of Neon Mini Set $19.95*
This formaldehyde free collection includes high shine shades such as Juice Bar Hopping, Life Gave Me Lemons,  You Are So Outta Lime, Push & Pur-pull, Hotter Than You Pink, Down The Core-al (left to right from picture). These small polish bottles are perfect for your seasonal neon fix and traveling.
Where to buy: Ulta, OPI.com

Keep in mind really anyone can pull of neons. It's all about how you use them. If neons are too loud and bright for you, pair it with nude polishes to tone it down.
